This blog is about my kids and for my kids. It is a story of their lives growing up and the hundreds of every day moments that I want to capture in film and image.
Yet here I am writing a blog post with not a single video or photo of my kids. Sometimes, it’s about me and my journey. In my hectic day to day life I don’t take enough time to stop and slow down. On a weekend in central Australia running a half marathon in the Outback with my sister, I had time to do this. To run a race in the middle of the beautiful Australian desert, watching sunrise over Ayers rock as the race was started by the sounds of a local man playing the didgeridoo was a privilege and a truly spiritual and amazing experience.
This was not my fastest race but it was by far one of my best.
The race is not always won by those that run the fastest, but by those that take time from the daily grind and fulfil some bucket list adventures.
